Our surgical suite is run and kept the way a human hospital would keep theirs.

Our monitoring capabilities during surgery are comparable to the human field. We offer the following:

Dentistry

It is very important to know that all pets need to be under anesthesia while under going dentistry. There are bacteria in their mouths that cause tartar and we do not want pets to ingest or inhale this bacteria. It is also very important that your pet receives IV fluids through out the procedure to help flush the pet’s system of bacteria and anesthesia. All of our dentals include the following:

  • Propofol Anesthetic (very safe, quick acting anesthetic drug with a short recovery time)
  • IV fluids
  • Sterilized instruments
  • Anti bacterial spray
  • Ultrasonic scaling of teeth to remove tartar
  • All teeth are probed and checked for mobility, fractures and pockets
  • Polishing of teeth to remove any lines in teeth (caused by scaling)
  • Fluoride treatment

Oravet sealant treatment that blocks tartar buildup for two weeks When needed other options are available such as:

  • Consil – used when a tooth is extracted to act as a bone graft so teeth left around empty pocket will not collapse into space left behind
  • Doxirobe – used when a tooth has a large pocket but does not need to be extracted. This will help save the tooth.
  • Oravet home care kit- Sealant that an owner can easily apply to their dog or cat’s teeth once a week to help with dental care at home.

Physical Therapy

Physical rehabilitation has been an integral component of human medicine and surgery since the early 1900s. We now understand that the same principles of rehabilitation that apply to human patients apply to our companion pets. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for each of our companion animal patients by alleviating pain and restoring normal musculoskeletal function. We offer a variety of services such as therapeutic ultrasound, electrotherapy, underwater treadmill, massage and mobility therapy and therapeutic exercise. Similar to human rehabilitation, our services include a complete medical evaluation specifically tailored to your pet’s physical needs, including home care instructions and education.

Microchips

We do not want your pet to get lost, so have your pet microchipped today.

Dog and cat microchipping is a simple procedure. A veterinarian simply injects a microchip for pets, about the size of a grain of rice (12mm), beneath the surface of your pet’s skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine shot, takes only a few seconds, and your pet will not react any more than he would to a vaccination. No anesthetic is required.

Nail & Wing Trims

Nail trims available for variety of pets including rabbits, dogs, cats, birds and more. Wing trims are also available for birds.
