Doctors

Hello my name is Dr. Jeanette Lubenau, or most people call me “Dr. J”. I am originally from Alamogordo, New Mexico. I attended undergraduate school at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces and I graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary School of Medicine in 1994 and moved to Lubbock, Texas. In November 2001, I became a diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline practice. My dreams came true when I opened my own hospital, Above and Beyond Pet Care Hospital, on January 13, 2004. In 2009 I became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner and in 2010, I will be opening my new hospital and boarding facility. I have a wonderful husband Lonny, who you may see at the Hospital and a son Colton who is growing up so fast! I have 2 great dogs named Dutchess who loves to show off all her commands (she’s a smart pup!) and Olivia my Great Dane, a retired racehorse named Nuke and my other horse named Lacy. I also have a goat, longhorn, guinea hens, fish, and three cats! I love to horseback ride, camp, fish, play racquetball, and go skiing. I have wanted to be a Veterinarian since the first grade and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This is my passion and I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family.

My name is Dr. Blaine Oden. I was born in Lubbock and lived here most of my life, but I have had the opportunity to live in many parts of the United States and other countries. I have lived in Arizona, Washington, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. In 1995, I graduated from Texas Tech with a B.S. in Animal Science. Then in 1998, I started veterinary school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts. That was quite an adventure, come in and I will tell you the story. In 1999, I began veterinary school at Texas A&M. It was great to be back in the states. Don’t worry Red Raiders, I was not Aggiefied while in College Station. After graduation in 2003, I practiced in Odessa for 2 years, until I was able to move back home. My wife’s name is Christy and we have a wonderful son Camryn. Our entire world revolves around him. He has a 4-legged brother named Max. I have worked at Above and Beyond since 2005 and became a partner with Dr. J in 2008. I look forward to our ongoing friendship and partnership. Can’t wait until we can meet!

Hello my name is Dr. Mollie Fox, but you can call me Dr. Mollie. I started relief work at Above and Beyond Pet Care Hospital in August 2009 and became a permanent member of the staff in March 2010. I graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech in 1999 and in 2002 I received my DVM from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. In 2008, I became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. My furry family includes Staircase and Tyson, the “crazy” cats that rule the house and Matilda my feisty poodle mix that keeps everyone on their toes. My son Cooper loves the pets way more than they love him! When I am not working, my hobbies include hiking and photography. I am proud to work at Above and Beyond Pet Care Hospital because we practice an excellent quality of medicine provided in a caring and compassionate environment. I hope I get to meet you soon!
